4 Month Website Anniversary Drawing

I hope everyone is enjoying spring. I know I am. For all of the new members I will recap.....Last month we did a drawing for a moda "dear santa" panel and it went great. So we are going to do it again. But this time it is for......?

A New - "Hopscotch" Quilt pattern by Calico Carriage Quilt Designs (see attached photo). The pattern comes from my Smoke FREE, Cat Free home, although I do have a hypoallergenic dog.

If you would like to be part of this months drawing the due date is..... May 30th at 11:59pm ET. All you need to do is two things....

I have been working on getting an ad in The Quilter magazine for a while. Well it has come true as of today. Thanks to some wonderful people who run the magazine I was able to get a a wonderful deal on advertising. There will be a 1/4 page ad in The Quilter June/July 2011 issue, on shelves on May 10. And a 1/12 ad in the Fabric Trends magazine for Summer 2011, on shelves June 14. The June/July issue of The Quilter Magazine will be also taken to the super huge "Spring Market."  As an added bonus the graphics department of the magazine offered to add color. Super great people throughout that company. So now the ad looks super pretty and ready to go.....not as simple as the original.  I have attached the newest - most beatiful ad. lol.

Need Advertising Opinions

Good morning to you all,

I would appreciate feedback and opinions. We now have enough to advertise in The Quilter Magazine (I previously called it the wrong name, sorry) and these are the options.

1. To have a 2 3/8 x 4 3/4 ad in The Quilter magazine plus possibly a small ad in the Fabric Trends magazine.
OR
2. To have a 2 x 2 ad in The Quilter magazine, Fabric Trends magazine, & Celebrate (previously Christmas 365).

the problem I am having is the ad will have to be black and white. And the deadline is today. I would appreciate everyones opinions please. I need to contact the lady later this morning to give her my decision. I would love to be in 3 magazine but the words would be super small and possibly hard to read then. My boss from the LQS has said to go with bigger the better, catches the eye. Ugh. Please share what you think as I see this as something for all of us. Thanks for helping,

EXCELLENT NEWS - Thanks to a wonderful angel looking out for all of us has donated towards the Website Advertising. Yah!!! Because of this generous person (who prefers to be anonymous) we are able to place the ad.
It is true what people say about quilters...generous, kind people. I am proud to be new friends with this person and hope you all send your wonderful thoughts their way. :-)

Although this person has generously donated we are always looking into the future and trying to raise money for more different magazine advertising. :-) All donations are appreciated :-)

Possible upgrade - UPDATED INFO

Happy Sunday everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know that the website may be getting even more upgrades very soon. I am working on getting an estimate for having pics shown on the listing page. Where all of the listing are shown together for each category. Hubby thinks it is a good idea to show the pics instead of a camera. I will be getting an estimate within the next couple of days. Cross your fingers the software designer is kind to us. If he is nice I can possibly afford it. (finger crossed)

Receive 1 "Featured Ad"

In an effort to raise enough money in donations I have come up with an idea. Anyone who donates $ 20 or more towards our Advertising goals for the website to be featured in The Quilter Magazine will receive 1 "Featured Ad" on the website classifieds. The more we raise the bigger the Ad can be in The Quilter magazine. :-)
Additionally contributors will also be featured on the Blog & Facebook page. And a thank you will also be featured on the classifieds.
We have high hopes for the website and know that an ad in The Quilter magazine would bring a lot more traffic to the classifieds website.

One Month!!!

I just realized the website has been up and running for over a month now. Wow, look at the progress. Thank you to all 36 members and going up every day (I hope). This has been a busy month or so and I hope to keep the pace rolling. thanks again,

Sent out emails today to members on updates

Today I sent out the first emails to our members. The email was to keep them informed and up to date on all of the new upgrades and advertising ideas. :-)

Website down :-(

For some reason the website is down. I am dealing with tech support currently to fix the problem. I will keep you posted :-)

UPDATE - It appears that the cause is the new upgrades. The website should be up and running within 24 hours. :-)
